I have a confession to make. I have a lot, and I mean a lot of things that I need to get to around this house. So what did I do for the 3 1/2 hours Mermaid was in school today? I binged on CreativeBug classes and worked on crocheting a baby blanket for a friend who is expecting this month. Nothing like ignoring the list of things to do while crocheting. After a couple of hours getting all inspired by the CreativeBug classes I was watching and wanting to break out some of the crafty things I haven’t seen since Mermaid was born I got motivated to at least organize my office.
Now I am going to show you a picture of what it looked like before. There was a real threat of an avalanche of plastic tubs. Why is that room so stuffed? Well it has all my yarn for my crochet business & blog, all of the sewing equipment and pending projects, all of the scrapbooking materials, the card making materials, Hubby’s desk and files, an assortment of his tools and PPE, a huge shot glass cabinet he got for his birthday and is yet to hang up (5 months later), and finally it has all of the finished scrapbooks and photo albums. That my friends is a lot to expect of a 12×10 room. It looks like it could be on an episode of Hoarders: Before They Lost Control doesn’t it?
So I spent a few hours sorting through things and organizing them a bit better. Now I have space on the table where I can actually do something besides write a check. I have all of the yarn in tubs organized by type, and the fancy smancy yarn is displayed on a bookshelf where I can admire it. I know looking at the after picture it still looks a like a mess but hey I am a terrible housewife after all.
