  1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, then bananas.
  3. Stir the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Then pour into the banana mix in 3 batches to prevent a flour cloud.
  4. Stir in nuts.
  5. Pour into loaf pan and bake 1 hour. (Crust will be firm and dark brown, a tester will come out clean.)
  6. Cool on wire rack in the pan for at least 20 minutes before serving. (If you cut it to soon it will dry out.)
Recipe Notes

Substitutions:

  • You can substitute 1/3 c shortening for the butter.
  • Pecans can be substituted for the walnuts.
